Damn Recession! Tecno Launch Tecno W5, With Finger Print ID and 4G LTE Support

This is just to tell you that it is not over yet, Tecno mean real business, not long ago Phantom 6 plus was launched and now in Tecno W series comes Tecno W5.

Tecno W5 is an upgrade to Tecno W4 and not just an upgrade but also comes with better spec, bigger screen, slim body with metallic frame and 4G LTE enabled. It has not been officially announce but it has been sighted. 

It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, 5.5 inches display , 16GB internal memory + 1GB Ram. Finger print ID support, 13Mp rear camera and 5MP front facing camera. 1.3Ghz processor and yes it is 4G LTE supported.

Obviously, everyone is complaining about the SMILE 4G SIM newly launched few days ago, it seems not to be compatible with the smartphones they claim it will work it. It was a tug of war yesterday evening when the smile lady was busy struggling with Samsung Galaxy Edge that supports different band including band 20. Unfortunately, she gave up and couldn’t pin point what the problem was. 

SMILE claimed the sim is selective and will work on iPhone7, iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy Edge and A7, but despite that, I haven’t seen any smartphone compatible with the SMILE 4G sim. Now I don’t know if smile actually know what band their sim operate because even the so called 4G devices that supports Band 20 (800Mhz) including the above listed haven’t record any success rate.

 You need to see the way their technician were struggling to make the sim work, sweating under Air condition only to end up with a sorry note, this sim cannot work on your device.

The question is, does SMILE  really know what band their 4G SIM operates? Why sell a 4G SIM you claimed supports only band 20 (800Mhz) when you know its not compatible with latest 4G smartphones?

This is Xiaomi most ambitious handset ever, it is a device that comes with a surprise. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 according to rumors is a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with Force Touch and a 1440 x 2560 resolution. It comes with a dual  camera set up, both the 23MP and 12MP snappers are using Sony sensors (IMX318 and IMX378 respectively). With an 8MP front facing camera for selfie lovers.

Internal storage 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage.  Another variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is found under the display, and an iris scanner is thrown in for good measure.

It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor quad-core and Adreno 530 GPU. Under the hood we have a massive 4100mAh battery capacity with supports for quick charge.

This monster device, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to be unveiled come 25^th October 2016.

10 of the 19 Northern state governors who are currently on a working visit to the US, met with the US secretary general, John Kerry at the White House.

The governors also had a closed door meeting with President Barack Obama's National Security Advisor, Ambassador Susan Rice.


The meetings focused on deepening collaboration on conflicts elimination, prevention, humanitarian aide and partnerships on the solving development factors responsible ‎for recurring ethno-religious violence in northern Nigeria.
